EpoCanvas Accessibility & Inclusivity Statement
COMMUNITY-012 Equal Access Continuous Improvement
We view accessibility as an integral part of content and interface quality. This statement outlines our current design direction and reporting procedures. It does not claim that all pages, third-party services, or historical content fully comply with any single standard.
[!NOTE] EpoCanvas uses the WCAG 2.2 AA “Perceivable” and “Operable” principles as a reference for audits. However, the actual user experience is influenced by browsers, operating systems, assistive technologies, third-party payment processors, and dynamic content. If you encounter a barrier, please provide reproducible details to help us address specific issues.
1. Our Maintenance Direction
Official pages and interactive components should be maintained with the following goals in mind:
- Use meaningful heading hierarchies, link text, table headers, and form labels so that content is understandable without relying on visual positioning;
- Ensure that primary reading, navigation, search, account management, commenting, and modal workflows can be completed via keyboard, providing identifiable focus states and clear exit methods;
- Avoid relying solely on color, icons, animations, or sound to convey essential information, and provide textual or semantic cues when states change;
- Minimize interference from animations, flashing, floating layers, and auto-playing content, respecting users’ “reduce motion” preferences;
- Ensure that text, code, quotes, tables, images, and error messages remain readable across different window sizes and zoom levels;
- Preserve alternative text, source attribution, or necessary context for images, charts, and embedded content provided by readers or authors.
These are maintenance requirements and acceptance criteria, not a guarantee that every existing component is already compliant. If current implementations diverge from the direction outlined here, the scope and priority should be documented in issue tracking.
2. Responsibilities of Content Authors & Contributors
When submitting articles, policy revisions, or comments, please:
- Use clear headings, paragraphs, and lists; do not simulate layout using consecutive spaces or purely decorative symbols;
- Provide concise and accurate alternative text for images with informational value; do not include irrelevant content in the alt text for decorative images;
- Include understandable column headers in tables, specify the language in code blocks, and explain their purpose in the surrounding text;
- Avoid using “click here” or “look at the color above” as the sole instruction; link text should independently describe its destination or purpose;
- Avoid unexplained auto-play, rapid flashing, excessive reliance on emojis, or interactions designed exclusively for mouse users;
- When citing third-party images, charts, fonts, or embedded content, verify both licensing and accessibility limitations.
3. Known Limitations & Prioritization
Dynamic comments, login, payment, site search, dashboards, and third-party embeds may have varying focus behaviors, error messaging, screen reader order, or loading states. If an interactive workflow is unusable, please first document:
- The page URL and the specific location of the interaction;
- Browser, operating system, screen size, and zoom level;
- Assistive technology or keyboard navigation method used (if applicable);
- Expected result, actual result, and steps to reproduce;
- Whether the issue occurs consistently or only under specific conditions (e.g., logged-in state, dark mode, mobile view).
Do not submit real account credentials, session tokens, medical/identity data, or other sensitive information to prove an issue.
4. Reporting & Resolution Process
General accessibility issues can be reported to contact@epocanvas.com with the subject line “[Accessibility]”. You may also submit reproducible revision suggestions in accordance with the Contributing & Editorial Guidelines. If an issue involves accounts, personal data, or security risks, please handle it privately according to the Security Disclosure Policy.
Maintainers will prioritize issues based on scope of impact, whether core functionality is blocked, the number of users affected, and the risk of the fix. After a fix is implemented, it should be re-verified using keyboard navigation, at least one mainstream browser, and appropriate responsive window sizes. If screen readers or specific assistive technologies are involved, corresponding verification should be performed when conditions allow.
5. Boundaries of Third-Party Content
Cloudflare, Stripe, Epomail, Telegram, videos, maps, payment buttons, or other external content may have their own accessibility capabilities and limitations. We provide necessary alternative descriptions and error boundaries at the integration layer, but we cannot guarantee full compliance on behalf of third-party services. If you encounter barriers within a third-party interface itself, you can note the vendor and specific component in your report.

- Utiliser des hiérarchies de titres, des textes de lien, des en-têtes de tableau et des libellés de formulaire significatifs, afin que le contenu soit compréhensible sans dépendre de la position visuelle ;
- Permettre que les processus de lecture principale, de navigation, de recherche, de compte, de commentaires et de fenêtres modales puissent être effectués au clavier, en offrant un état de focus identifiable et une méthode de sortie ;
- Ne pas se limiter à la couleur, aux icônes, aux animations ou aux sons pour transmettre des informations essentielles, et fournir des indications textuelles ou sémantiques lors des changements d’état ;
- Contrôler les animations, les clignotements, les superpositions et le contenu en lecture automatique afin de réduire les interférences, en respectant la préférence des utilisateurs pour la réduction du mouvement ;
- Assurer que le texte, le code, les citations, les tableaux, les images et les messages d’erreur restent lisibles à différentes tailles de fenêtre et niveaux de zoom ;

1. Direcciones de mantenimiento
- Utilizar jerarquías de encabezados, textos de enlaces, títulos de tablas y etiquetas de formularios con significado, de modo que el contenido sea comprensible sin depender de la posición visual;
- Permitir que los procesos principales de lectura, navegación, búsqueda, cuentas, comentarios y diálogos modales se completen mediante el teclado, proporcionando estados de foco identificables y métodos de salida;
- No depender únicamente de color, íconos, animaciones o sonido para transmitir información esencial, y proporcionar indicaciones textuales o semánticas al cambiar de estado;
- Controlar la interferencia de animaciones, destellos, capas flotantes y contenido de reproducción automática, respetando la preferencia del usuario por reducir el movimiento;
- Garantizar que textos, código, citas, tablas, imágenes y mensajes de error sean legibles en diferentes tamaños de ventana y niveles de zoom;
2. Responsabilidades de autores y colaboradores de contenido
- Utilizar encabezados, párrafos y listas claros, sin emplear espacios consecutivos o símbolos decorativos puros para simular el diseño;
- Proporcionar texto alternativo breve y preciso para imágenes con información, y no incluir contenido irrelevante en el texto alternativo de imágenes decorativas;
- Las tablas deben incluir encabezados de columna comprensibles, los bloques de código deben indicar el lenguaje y el texto debe explicar su propósito;
COMMUNITY-012 Gleichberechtigung beim Lesen Kontinuierliche Verbesserung
[!NOTE] EpoCanvas verwendet die Verständlichkeitsprinzipien von WCAG 2.2 AA als Referenz für Prüfungen.
- Verwendung einer sinnvollen Überschriftenhierarchie, Linktexte, Tabellentitel und Formularbeschriftungen, damit Inhalte nicht auf visuelle Position angewiesen sind, um verstanden zu werden;
- Sicherstellung, dass die Hauptlesefluss, Navigation, Suche, Konto-Verwaltung, Kommentare und Modal-Dialog-Flüsse über die Tastatur bedient werden können, mit erkennbaren Fokus-Zuständen und Möglichkeiten zum Verlassen;
- Nicht nur Farbe, Symbole, Animationen oder Ton zur Übermittlung wesentlicher Informationen verwenden, sondern bei Zustandsänderungen textuelle oder semantische Hinweise bereitstellen;
- Kontrolle von Störungen durch Animationen, Flackern, schwebende Ebenen und automatisch abspielende Inhalte, unter Respektierung der Benutzerpräferenz für reduzierte Bewegung;
- Sicherstellung, dass Text, Code, Zitate, Tabellen, Bilder und Fehlermeldungen bei verschiedenen Fenstergrößen und Zoomstufen lesbar bleiben;
2. Verantwortung von Inhaltsautoren und Mitwirkenden
Beim Einreichen von Artikeln, Policy-Revisionen oder Kommentaren bitte Folgendes beachten:
- Verwenden Sie klare Überschriften, Absätze und Listen; simulieren Sie das Layout nicht durch aufeinanderfolgende Leerzeichen oder rein dekorative Symbole;
- Bieten Sie kurze und genaue Alternativtexte für Bilder mit informationellem Wert an; schreiben Sie keine irrelevanten Inhalte in den Alternativtext dekorativer Bilder;
- Stellen Sie sicher, dass Tabellen verständliche Spaltentitel enthalten; markieren Sie Code-Blöcke mit der Sprache und erklären Sie ihren Zweck im Fließtext;
- Vermeiden Sie es, „Hier klicken“ oder „Farbe oben ansehen“ als einzige Anweisung zu verwenden; Linktexte sollten den Zweck eigenständig erklären;
- Vermeiden Sie unerklärtes automatisches Abspielen, schnelles Flackern, übermäßige Abhängigkeit von Emojis oder nur auf die Maus ausgerichtete Interaktionen;
- Die Seiten-URL und die spezifische Position der Aktion;
- Browser, Betriebssystem, Bildschirmgröße und Zoomstufe;
- Verwendete Hilfstechnologien oder Tastaturbedienungsarten (falls zutreffend);
- Erwartetes Ergebnis, tatsächliches Ergebnis und reproduzierbare Schritte;
